Listen to your agents and reply by voice
In Voice mode, ParusVoice reads new messages from your coding agents aloud. When an agent asks a question, ParusVoice listens afterwards. You speak your answer and send it with “Send”. Several messages are handled one after another.
Turn on Voice mode
First set up Agent mode, see Connect Claude Code, Codex and Grok to ParusVoice. Then open the agent panel and turn on “Voice mode”. The “Reading aloud” or “Listening” label shows what’s happening.
Under “Reading scope” you choose how much you hear. “Brief” reads a short spoken version of the answer, “Status only” mainly states the status. You always find the full text in the panel.
Reply and send
Speak your answer while ParusVoice is listening, for example: “Take the second option and keep the navigation.” Then, after a short pause, say “Send”.
ParusVoice confirms the delivery. For a question with answer options, “Option two” is enough. Answer permission requests from Claude Code with “Allow” or “Deny”. “Yes” and “No” work too.
The voice commands
| You say | What happens |
|---|---|
| “Send” | sends your answer to the agent |
| “More” | reads the detailed version aloud |
| “Repeat” | reads the last message again |
| “Wait” | gives you time to think about the current message |
| “Discard” | discards your draft answer |
Speak each command as its own short sentence. “I’ll send the email later” stays normal content.
Pause and confirmation
If you pause longer after your answer, ParusVoice asks “Send?”. Say “Yes” to send it; if you keep talking, you add to the draft. Without confirmation, nothing goes out automatically.
Keep the panel small
Collapsing moves the panel to the edge of the screen. Reading aloud and replying continue, and the narrow tab shows the status. The cross closes the panel and pauses Voice mode until you open it again. So send any answer you started first.
If you press your dictation key during a message, normal dictation takes priority.
